When the transmission gets to temp the transmission will start to slip, shift hard then go into high line pressure then slams into gear. The fluids full, dark and burnt. Metal is suspended in the fluid. The rear main engine seal is leaking aggressively. The engine also has an aggressive leak from the front of the engine and or the turbo as well. ADvised customer of findings, customer declined any further repairs at this time. Customer is going to sell the vehicle as is.

The tech completed the service and performed a vehicle inspection. The tech noted this is a well maintained vehicle and has no further recommendations at this time.

    • UPON PERFORMING OUR TESTING AND INSPECTION. WE FOUND THAT THE A/T FLUID IS FULL BUT PALE IN COLOR AND SMELLS. EVERY SHIFT IS A FLARE SHIFT. 2-3 IS THE WORST. THE PUMP IS MAKING NOISE AT TIMES. THERE IS A SHUDDER ON KICKDOWN. THE NOISE AND PERFORMANCE GETS WORST THE MORE YOU DRIVE. RECOMMEND REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION.
    • TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY – Removal & Installation – LS,LT,LTZ,RWD w/o Skid Plate – [Includes: Confirm Fluid temperature for level check.]

    • Upon inspection the tech found the transmission is working correctly at this time. The tech pulled the pan, found the fluid full, varnished and due for service. The tech completed the service then performed a complete vehicle inspection, the tech noted a power steering leak is present from one of the power steering lines. The tech also performed a battery and found the battery is weak and recommend replacement. The tech noted the power steering leak will require further inspection to pinpoint the cause of the leak. Advised customer of findings.

    • Upon inspection the tech scanned found codesw: P0300, P0301, P0303, P0306 P0461 – Fuel level out of range P0463 – Fuel level signal high/open P0522 – Engine oil pressure signal Upon internal inspection the tech found all gears present. The tech pulled the pan, found the fluid full, varnished and due for service. The tech completed the service and performed the vehicle inspection. Tech noted oil pressure gauge is intermittent, the engine has runability issues present along with misfire codes. The tech recommend further engine inspection for codes, and inspect the fuel level sensor, along with the oil pressures. Advised customer of findings.
    • Upon inspection the tech found the magnet has more metal than we like to see at normal service intervals. The tech noted slight noise on acceleration. The tech completed the service.

    • Upon inspection the tech scanned found no codes present. The tech confirmed the customers concern. The tech found the transmission has all gears present, the transmission will start in the park position. When the shifter assembly is placed in the partk position the dash indicator is not reading the park position. The tech inspected further and found the issue is within the shifter assembly. At this time the tech recommend replace the shifter assembly and re test. Advised customer of findings, customer approved verbally by phone.
    • After the repairs were complete the tech found the dash is reading correctly, the vehicle will achieve and hold the park position. No other recommendations at this time.
