This send much metal through the differential and ruined the pinion bearings and well. Races show signs of heat wear, ring, pinion and carrier are in good shape. At this time the tech recommends rebuilding the rear differential. Advised customer of findings, customer approved verbally by phone.

2018 Ford F-150
Mileage47,847Service Date10/24/2025Services Performed- After the Vb was installed the instruction state not to re flash. The rough shifting will have to be driven out. This can take up to 1000 miles. After discussing with he vendor the proper driving instruction for this re lean, they advised to drive the vehicle using no more than 50 % throttle. If your going to be using tow mode, the vehicle will have to be driven in the tow mode for up to 1000 miles to re learn as well. We have put 43 miles on the vehicle and the shifting is much smoother but still needs to be driven more.

At this time the tech recommend taking to the dealer for the software update and if the condition continues return for further inspection and repairs.
