U0418 – IMPLAUSIBLE DATA RECEIVED FROM BRAKE SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE. THE START/STOP AUX BATTERY IS FAULTY. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN (18-002-19 REV.A) FOR AN UPDATE TO THE POWER CONTROL MODULE (PCM). RECOMMEND REPLACING THE BATTERY AND PERFORMING THE UPDATE.

    • Upon inspection the tech scanned found codes: P128D – TCM power control circuit 2 open The tech noted the shift cable can no longer be adjusted. When putting through the gears, at times the N will not show on the PRNDL. Tech confirmed the selector will not go all the way into park. The tech noted the shift cable needs to be replaced. Customer approved verbally by phone.

    • Upon inspection the tech found the transmission is working correctly at this time. The tech pulled the pan, found the fluid full, varnished and due for service. The tech completed the service then performed a complete vehicle inspection, the tech noted a power steering leak is present from one of the power steering lines. The tech also performed a battery and found the battery is weak and recommend replacement. The tech noted the power steering leak will require further inspection to pinpoint the cause of the leak. Advised customer of findings.

    • Upon inspection the tech scanned found codesw: P0300, P0301, P0303, P0306 P0461 – Fuel level out of range P0463 – Fuel level signal high/open P0522 – Engine oil pressure signal Upon internal inspection the tech found all gears present. The tech pulled the pan, found the fluid full, varnished and due for service. The tech completed the service and performed the vehicle inspection. Tech noted oil pressure gauge is intermittent, the engine has runability issues present along with misfire codes. The tech recommend further engine inspection for codes, and inspect the fuel level sensor, along with the oil pressures. Advised customer of findings.
    • Upon inspection the tech found the magnet has more metal than we like to see at normal service intervals. The tech noted slight noise on acceleration. The tech completed the service.
